Stand For Science
Now, more than ever, it’s time to #Stand4Science. A worldwide pandemic continues to threaten lives and livelihoods. Scientists are working around the clock to discover new diagnostics, therapies and vaccines. With so much at stake, we must continue to strongly support scientific thinking and development. Biomedical research, from the lab all the way to you, provides critical answers to human health problems. It also provides opportunity through education, jobs and a healthier future for all residents in our community.
To #Stand4Science means standing for Texas Biomed.
Texas Biomedical Research Institute (Texas Biomed), a 200-acre campus in northwest San Antonio, has been on the frontlines of the current fight against the world’s most formidable foe: COVID-19. When the pandemic hit, we were prepared. We worked with Pfizer to develop its life-saving vaccine. We partnered with Regeneron on its healing monoclonal antibody therapy. Through it all, we relied on our 80-year track record in basic, preclinical research that has resulted in discoveries, cures and therapies for diseases and conditions that threaten human health.
