Science That Inspires

Texas Biomed’s global mission to protect families from the threats of infectious diseases begins locally, with the hundreds of researchers, veterinarians, technical and administrative team members who are committed to improving health through science. And, our team aims to share these experiences and ideas and inspire our community from the young to the young-at-heart. We are committed to educating the next generation of bioscience leaders and advocates.

Whether you are a scientist, a lawyer or a chef, all careers rely on scientific principles, and science will always need supporters across our community. There are a number of opportunities to engage with our talented team: speaker requests through our Speaker’s Bureau, Institute tours, K-12 science activities and curriculum, college-level internships, job opportunities for graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, and early career researchers.

The San Antonio community has just 20% of its high school graduates enrolling in higher education (Texas Education Agency Region 20)and only 26% of the population has a higher education degree based on U.S. Census data. The future of our research workforce and ultimately our community depends on exposure to science. Whether through your school, as an intern or through a business or community group, we encourage you to learn more about how we can work together to inspire each other and build a stronger community together.
