Your participation accelerates discovery
Proceeds support Texas Biomed’s mission to improve human health worldwide through innovative biomedical research. Your support provides critical resources that help our scientists accelerate discovery and respond to emerging health threats. Last year, the Founder’s Council helped fund more than $32,000 in laboratory equipment that strengthens research across Texas Biomed.
Course Format & What’s Included

- Ammunition: Two boxes (12ga or 20ga #8 shot) (25 shells per box)

- Shotgun (bring your own)
- Rental shotgun: $10 + tax (limited availability) 3 available in 12ga; 2 available in 20ga
How the course works
Shooters compete in groups of four. Each shooter shoots 10 targets on five different fields (50 total). We’ll rotate five groups at a time (up to 20 shooters per rotation). Each rotation is estimated at about 45 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring my own firearm?
Most shooters will need to bring their own shotgun (about 90%). If you do not have one, you may share within your team. A team of four shooters only needs two shotguns. The club has only five rental shotguns available, so we encourage teams to share first whenever possible.
Are shells/ammunition included?
Yes. The Gun Club provides 50 shells per shooter (12 gauge or 20 gauge) at registration.
Can beginners participate?
Yes. Beginners are welcome as long as the shooter can safely handle the shotgun unassisted.
What’s the team format?
Teams of four shooters.
What is the schedule?
Five teams rotate every 45 minutes.
Where do I park / what should I wear?
The Gun Club has plenty of parking. Eye and ear protection is required. Dress is casual. Closed-toe shoes are recommended.
