Research Focus
Dr. Wright-McAfee is the newest Assistant Professor Veterinarian at Texas Biomedical/SNPRC. She recently completed a residency in laboratory animal medicine at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, with a particular focus on primate medicine. As a resident, she provided evidence-based clinical and preventative medical care across a diverse range of laboratory animal species and worked closely with researchers to enhance animal research procedures, refine surgical techniques, and improve protocol compliance, all while ensuring optimal veterinary care for both protocol and non-protocol related health conditions.
In her new role at Texas Biomedical/SNPRC she hopes to continue provide high-quality veterinary care, support animal welfare, and work closely with researchers to refine animal research techniques, enhance protocol compliance, and troubleshoot health issues related to studies.
