Research Focus
Jiang Zhu, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Structural Biology, Computational Biology, Immunology & Microbiology at The Scripps Research Institute, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at Texas Biomed. His lab focuses on antibody research, neuroscience and vaccine design for diverse viral pathogens, including HIV, SARS-CoV-1, SARS-CoV-2, MERS-CoV, Ebola, Marburg, Flu, Zika and Dengue. He and his team specialize in developing self-assembling protein nanoparticle vaccines. Dr. Zhu collaborates closely with Texas Biomed and the Southwest National Primate Research Center on vaccine development and studies.
