Research Focus
Yufeng Wang, Ph.D., is a Professor at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), and an Adjunct Professor at Texas Biomed. Dr. Wang’s research focuses on the comparative genomics, molecular evolution and systems biology of gene families. Approaches range from the latest bioinformatic and genomic tools, to statistical modeling and analysis based on evolution and population genetics theory. Her lab is particularly interested in the evolutionary mechanisms and systems biology of infectious diseases.
