Adjunct Professor Luis Giavedoni, PhD, is the Brackenridge Distinguished Professor of Biology at Trinity University. Dr. Giavedoni studies viral infections and vaccine development, including for Ebola and other filoviruses. His is particularly focused on the innate and adaptive immune responses to retroviral infections in animal models. He was at Texas Biomed and SNPRC for more than seven years, including as Vice Chair of Virology & Immunology. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from National University of Buenos Aires.
