We are excited you are considering a visit to the Texas Biomed campus. Due to increasing COVID-19 cases in the San Antonio community, we have temporarily suspended community tours and campus access to visitors; however, we still want to share all the amazing science and resources we have. We have several virtual tour programs available.

College Tour Groups

College Tour groups are also welcome; however, due to COVID-19, we are providing an opportunity to meet and talk with our scientists and/or veterinarians and veterinary pathologists virtually, in addition to our Virtual Video.   • College Tours

    Texas Biomedical Research Institute In Person College/University Tour Application

    In person tours of the Texas Biomedical Research Institute (Texas Biomed) are available for area colleges and universities. Each tour is limited to no more than 30 individuals. Regardless of age, children of tour participants are not allowed on the tour of Texas Biomed campus.

    Cell phones are not permitted on tours of the animal care areas. In the event cell phones are brought on campus, it is expected they will remain off and out of sight. However, if preferable, phones can be collected and placed in a secure area for the duration of the tour. Phones will be returned for distribution prior to leaving the Texas Biomed campus.

    Availability for college/university tours is limited. The Education Outreach Program Manager, Dr. Rosemary Riggs, will contact the coordinating professor regarding tour availability and application status.
